Macro photography in the Botanical Gardens

Macro photography in the Botanical Gardens

I haven’t taken many macro photos in a while, so I decided to go out and do some shooting to get my passion for it back. It worked! I’ve been working too hard on live music and my book lately that I’ve slipped away from doing macro, even though that is my real passion. I tried a few different things today, so let me know what you think! Less insects in these for once.

Hi Matt, You’ve made me appreciate those little bugs that love me so much in this beautiful part of the world. Maybe I’ll bump into you one day when I’m biking Mount Cootha.

      Thanks, Tracey.

I was only just talking to my girlfriend the other day about showing people the insects’ personalities or the finer details – anything that makes people think twice about simply squashing them dead without a hesitation.

  2. Oh wow you’ve captured these little fellas perfectly, the spider is a little on the creepy side though 🙂

  3. Really cool macro shots. Nice work.
